It’s estimated that close to $100 million in scholarships go unclaimed each year and $2 billion in student grants go unclaimed. This is according to the National Scholarship Providers Association (NSPA)

Rwanda Opens Its Doors: Visa-Free Entry for African Citizens

The list includes Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore, and the State of Qatar. This move is set to further strengthen diplomatic and economic relations with these nations.

Visitors from countries that are not visa-exempt have two options. They can apply for a visa online, affording convenience and efficiency in the process. Alternatively, visas can be obtained at the Rwanda Diplomatic Mission in the visitor’s country of residence before departure. For online applicants, the choice to pay online or upon arrival is available. It’s important to note that there are no third-party agents authorized to apply for visas on behalf of travellers.

Rwanda’s visa fees for non-exempt countries are also noteworthy. The cost does not exceed $50 for a single-entry visa or $70 for multiple entries. This budget-friendly approach aims to encourage tourism, trade, and collaboration between Rwanda and nations beyond its borders.
